Portland seattle trip - visit to powell bookstore
Supposedly the largest standing used+new bookstore, this was kinda a must-visit place.
Wow it did not disappoint, as the sheer size of the facade was amazing.
Divided into different rooms ( could remember gold, red) , each section held different genres of books.
Priced were quite fair too, n plus the wide selection, this was a haven for booklovers.
In the end, bought these 2 books ( see after shot pic) for $12

After kenton, went to pioneer place at downtown portland
A typical mall tats split into 2 sections across the street..nothing special ..
Had dinner at the food court, bought some stuff frm VS, HnM .

Sussed out tis place off yelp ..went to visit .. quite a lot of stuff but not tat cheap
For example normal comics were like $3 min ... there was a NES console alone , which storekeeper insisted $20.. after thinking abt it, i declined n left empty handed haha

Portland seattle trip - shopping day
For shopping we first went to washington square .. it had the usual brand labels, including pandora which jerine bought a couple of jewellery.
Also got some clothing frm f21, hnm, anf, as well as dessert frm orange julius n cheesecake factory
Next we proceeded to cd game exchange to check out the games avail . Got a number of ps2 games..more on tat separately
Finally went to a nearby nike factory outlet along martin luther king boulevard.. there we bought a number of apparel , as well as pair of air jordans
After all these, returned back to hotel for rest ...
Portland seattle trip - shopping day
Today was mainly on shopping ..but before tat ..lunch
First went to the food cart district at downtown portland for light lunch.. jerine was trying to hunt for tis supposedly good chicken rice .. managed to locate it after some time.
Apparently it was run by a thai chinese .. n the food was takeaway style .. we subsequently moved to an opposite park to savour the rice.. not too bad tasting n aesthetically looked quite good
Portland seattle trip - oulet shopping ,arrival n dinner n rest (25 mar)
After a 200+ mile drive ( with stopover at macdonalds) , arrived at woodburn premium outlet
Quite a small place as compared to other outlets..only ting is of cos no tax ... din get anyting frm adidas, some clothing frm nike , flipflops frm gap , a captain america figure frm disney store n CK underwear ( my first! )
After woodburn travelled back to portland n checked in at best western ... nice hotel , big n clean room
Next went for dinner at this very small thai food joint - pon thai ... tasted quite ok ..we got pad thai, fried "drunken" noodles n tom yum soup
Finally went to walmart to stock up some groceries before heading back to hotel for rest ...

2nd round at pike place..walked ard the 6th floor area n took some more pics of interior n exterior
Did a personal tour of the 4th floor shop area, where it was an eclectic mix of retailers catering to different interests
Old vintage mags, coins, collectible trading cards, vinyl records, comics n pop culture paraphernalia .. all avail .. makes for an interesting visit
