Carmel visit on Saturday 25 oct

Went to carmel area on saturday, mainly walked along the shopfront at ocean avenue. Seems like very kitschy , arty kinda area..with quaint little shops mixed with well known boutiques. Not really my kinda flavour ..haha

1st yard sale adventure on sunday 26 oct

Went for my 1st yard sale adventure today. Stopped by 2 places at 414 ramona avenue n 660 dry creek road. The 1st din really have much video games, just bought a lamp n multi soçket bar for $5 ( the owner threw in 1 storybook as well )
The 2nd place had some interesting pc n commodore 64 cib games - grabbed this lot at $5. Wanted to get a tv at $20 but as there was no way to verify its serviceability , in the end gotta drop the idea.

1st haircut in US

there has been a lot of "1st" recently ...today was my 1st haircut done in US. at the nex barbershop ..not too bad for $8.50

1st trip to Disneyland

today we set off for disneyland.. feeling excited as it was the 1st visit for me n liam.. some sort of trepidation..haha.. overall it was a great experience .

road trip to LA

we embarked on our 1st long trip to LA with the hosay group
set off at ard 845am ..had a stopover at macdonalds in san luis.. reached camarillo premium outlets n shopped shopped ..finally reached main LA at ard 1900

key highlight
1) 300+ miles drive was no mean feat - split the responsibility with edwin ..haha

2) jerine bought 1 bag +1 pair of shoes from tory burch , 1 bag frm kate spade on the cheap..i bought 2 nike tshirts for less than $20

3) lunch cum tea was at some crummy food court in camarillo

4) dinner was at subway

5) hotel was at courtyard marriot..nice cosy feel

had lunch at RG burger (near trader joes) with KY n co ... as well as applied for postbox with usps

now awaiting the long weekend (columbus day !)

did not attend school today as had to settle housing lease ... had the chance to join Liam for his Kinderjam session at la mesa community centre

it seemed lotsa fun..basically the kids were dancing to the tune of the instructor, with the use of mini props like pompoms, shakers, etcetc ..
the instructor was lively n injected energy into the session...

quite good considering its free 😊

moving house day !!!

todays an impt day as finally , after almost a month of waiting, moving ard frm place to place etc...we r moving into our own place at 378C Bergin Drive !!!

key events:

1) signing of lease
2) moving tings in/out/up/down - lotsa movement done in transporting our stuff frm william's place to ours..original luggages plus stuff we bough in US...of course my game stuff too haha
3) cleaning n cleaning n .... - mopping, wiping etc etc
4) internet setup -experience with CC was a joke, but after an arduous period of wranglinh with the online n onsite service agents, managed to set up the internet !

it was a long day but satisfying indeed

Gameworld in San Jose

Basically a little "junkyard" of almost every retro game console n paraphernalia.. loose , cib , ltd edition etc etc
Prices tend to b on high side as compared to ebay .
Eg zelda the link NES game was quoted at 20usd , but ebay is slightly less
N64 loose console at $50 , CIB at $100

Guess they need to upkeep the store rental too...

Nonetheless its my 1st visit to a real retro game store ..nice !

An organic supermarket located at fremont munras area... bought some waffle mix, chips, macaroni
